Bata Mickey Mouse Boots

Background: Designed by Bata, these Boots were worn by Ye in 2024, used in his Vultures LP outfits, and used in SZNX Styleups. The Type I Extreme Cold Vapor Barrier Boots, commonly known as Mickey Mouse Boots, were developed for the United States military for use in severe cold-weather environments. Originally designed during the Korean War, these oversized black rubber boots feature a vapor-barrier construction that traps insulating air between layers of waterproof rubber, helping protect the wearer's feet in temperatures as low as −20°F (−29°C). Their distinctive bulky shape earned them the nickname "Mickey Mouse Boots" due to their resemblance to the oversized feet of the cartoon character. Made from durable oil- and diesel-resistant rubber, Type I Mickey Mouse Boots weigh approximately 44 ounces (1.25 kg) per boot and were issued to military personnel operating in arctic and subarctic conditions. They predate the later white Type II "Bunny Boots," which were designed for even colder temperatures.
