5 POCKET DENIM PANT

Background: The 5 Pocket Denim Pant was first shown in the YGEBB Lookbook posted by Ye and The Gap. The 5 Pocket Denim Pant was based on Vintage pairs of Levi's 501 Jeans. The Black pair in the Lookbook was specifically based on Ye's Personal Vintage Paint Stained pair, which Ye wore for a month straight. These would be used in the Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga Chapter 1 Ad. The retail versions featured little to no changes from the lookbook/sample versions, other than the Black color not having paint stains. During the collaboration, marketing samples with unique washes were sent out to multiple celebrities, specific ones were Quavo and Takeoff, who went on to use them for their "Only Built for Infinity Links" album cover. Many other celebrities would wear the Pant as well, such as Dua Lipa. It'd then be shown in a lookbook shot by Raphael Bliss and styled by Betsy Johnson in Tokyo, Japan, shot on 08/19/2022, and was posted by Gap on 09/22/2022. The first two Stock Images did not feature pocket distressing, although the release did include distressing on the pocket as it did in the Lookbook. The Black Color did not receive knee and pocket distressing as it apparently took too long in production, so they had skipped it to be in time for its release (Obviously, that did not matter, though, due to the Termination and removal of the site). However, it did still feature very slight distressing overall. The Black colorway and a Restock were planned for the pants at the end of 2022. Blue Release Date: 02/23/2022 Black did not officially release due to the Termination and the shutdown.
