ROUND JACKET

Background: Designed by Greg Ross, Tess Matthias, Moustapha Diagne, and others, the YZY GAP Round Jacket served as the first release of Yeezy Gap and as one of the first items shown in the original teased images by Ye on Twitter/X, and the Jacket's original prototype for YZY GAP in the teased images would be co-designed by Greg Ross. It was initially released in Blue as a Pre-Order. Original designs were made of Waterproof Cotton, pull drawstrings instead of ones with cordlocks, and had multiple colorways, more than just the Blue, Black, and Red. According to Ye in a video with Gap's Board, Gap had apparently cancelled the Round Jacket's Pre-Order. ("We cancelled the pre-order of the Blue Jacket, that's insane.") Following this release came the Black and Red colors. Each release came days after Ye wore them, 3 days after Ye wore the Blue color in Los Angeles, 5 days after Ye wore the Black to a Balenciaga Couture Event in Paris, and 14 days after Ye wore the Red during his 1st Donda Listening Party at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Black stock image is a recolor of the blue; images and promotional floating videos were taken by Nick Knight. In November, Ye would have people outfitted in the Round Jacket for his "Clones LA, NYC" activation that would have multiple people dress up very similar to his outfits he was wearing in October and roam around New York City, while they would do a shoot in Soho, LA, that would never release officially, done by Aus Taylor and Ellen Nielsen Blue and Black were re-released twice, and Red was re-released once. The Jacket was produced by Dishang Group Spain.
