Background: Designed by Emanuel Ricci, Taha Elghanai, and Muad Elghanai, the first prototype was produced on 03/05/2025, designed by Emanuel Ricci and presented to Ye by Taha Elghanai on 03/15/2025. The piece was then updated on 04/01/2025 by Emanuel Ricci. The early version was first worn by Ye on 03/30/2025, when leaving his interview with Akademiks to head to Japan. Initial versions featured a zipper and visible seams connecting the sleeves to the body. The product continued to be updated multiple times throughout May 2025 by Taha Elghanai and Ye in Spain, during which the seam structure was reworked to eliminate visible seam lines. The fabric weight was updated on 05/30/2025, and the pockets were altered to align with the natural folds of the body. The final version was completed on 06/19/2025, in Los Angeles, by Taha Elghanai & Muad Elghanai. Multiple colorways were produced, including Brown, Dark Gray, and White, with Black being the only colorway released online. Yeezy began shipping PL-08 orders in December 2025.
